I have always been thrilled by
exceptional design. And if good design comes with sufficient
built-in horsepower, the better.
Handling a car at maximum curve speed is a
pretty thrilling exercise. I have participated in a couple of
events, such as the races at the annual Ferrari Racing Days, or the
"Pilota Ferrari" racing school seminars on the Mugello circuit
(Italy).
Even in my early business days, when
I was merely 19 years old, I liked nice cars:

Here are some of my today's favorites:
- Porsche 996 Turbo
420 hp. A true masterpiece of German engineering. Unparalleled
technology and power, still suitable for everyday use. The best
car I have ever driven.

- Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante
414 hp. English GT charm with open air. Something between
Bentley and Ferrari - lots of power, still ideal for a relaxed
Sunday afternoon cruise among finest leather and burlwood.

-
Ferrari F355 GTS F1
375 hp. The race horse. Simply too aggressive for conventional
roads. This beast is built for the race track, baby.
- Jaguar XK-8 Convertible
A perfect everyday car for Miami. Half the price of the Aston
Martin, still some details are just more convenient: Fully
automated roof, more modern air conditioning, cruise control,
larger trunk. But of course you do not get the name nor the
design of an Aston Martin. Being English has always required a
special state of mind.

- Fiat Spider 124 CS (1980)
105 hp. A true classic. Timeless Pininfarina design. I bought it
long time ago - and just had to keep it.
